Browning A-Bolt Hunter Grade I .280 Rem Bolt-Action Rifle – 22" Barrel, 1989 Production
Built by Miroku in 1989, this Browning A-Bolt Hunter Grade I pairs the smooth A-Bolt action with a less-common .280 Rem chambering. A fluted three-lug bolt, crisp single-stage trigger, and handsome gloss walnut stock give this rifle both mechanical efficiency and classic sporting appeal.

The A-Bolt’s 60° bolt throw cycles quickly while providing strong lock-up through three lugs, a feature valued for both accuracy and speed. The hinged floorplate captures the detachable box magazine, allowing rapid unloading without loose rounds.
Grade I walnut wears a high-gloss finish with cut checkering, a Monte Carlo comb, palm swell, and contrasting black spacers at the forend tip and butt. The gold-filled Buckmark on the alloy trigger guard adds a subtle Browning signature.
The 22" blued steel barrel uses a 1:10 twist suited to the full range of .280 Rem bullet weights. Absence of factory sights leaves a clean barrel profile ready for the included Weaver-style mounts.
A tang-mounted three-position safety permits safe loading and unloading with the bolt locked or cycling. With its 13.5" length of pull and 3+1 capacity, this full-size sporter balances fast handling with classic lines.
