The Standard FS follows the traditional 5-inch Government pattern, using a short-recoil tilting-barrel system and Series 70 internals without a firing-pin block. This keeps the trigger pull smooth and consistent while preserving parts compatibility with most aftermarket 1911 components.
Both frame and slide are machined from 4140 ordnance steel, then finished in a durable matte black parkerized coating that resists corrosion and glare. Rear vertical serrations aid slide manipulation, and the low-profile dovetailed rear sight pairs with a fixed GI-style front blade for a familiar sight picture.
Safety features include a beavertail grip safety, a left-side manual thumb safety, and a half-cock notch. The solid GI-pattern trigger, paired with a spur hammer, delivers the crisp single-action break shooters expect from a 1911.
At approximately 2.47 lb unloaded and 8.5 inches overall length, this full-size pistol maintains classic 1911 handling characteristics. Proof marks show “APINTL – Pahrump NV” along with “ACP Philippines,” noting its Armscor Philippine manufacture and U.S. importation.
