Produced on SIG’s 1911 platform, the Nightmare uses a forged stainless frame and slide treated with a matte black Nitron finish. This treatment offers added protection against wear and corrosion while maintaining a non-reflective profile.
The 4.2-inch stainless, match-grade barrel is crowned for accuracy and housed within a slide that incorporates SIG’s distinctive external extractor for positive case removal. Paired with a tight slide-to-frame fit, the barrel contributes to the pistol’s solid mechanical lock-up.
Controls follow the traditional single-action-only format, with an extended thumb safety and grip safety. A skeletonized rowel hammer works in concert with the match, over-travel adjustable trigger to deliver a crisp break.
Front and back strap checkering at approximately 25 LPI, along with textured black G10 double-diamond grips, give the shooter a firm, repeatable grip surface. Factory SIGLITE tritium night sights provide a clear three-dot sight picture in all lighting conditions.
