What’s Included
- F.lli Pietta Model 1851 Navy Confederate Navy Brass Frame .44 percussion revolver
This reproduction keeps the open-top design and transverse barrel wedge of the original 1851 Navy, offering the same classic profile favored during the American Civil War. The polished brass frame and grip straps replicate scarce Confederate brass-frame revolvers, giving the pistol compelling period authenticity.
The 7.5-inch carbon-steel barrel features left-hand, seven-groove rifling with a 1:30" twist, optimized for round ball or conical black-powder loads. A fixed brass front post pairs with the hammer’s V-notch rear, providing the simple yet serviceable sight picture of 19th-century sidearms.
A six-shot rebated cylinder is finished in deep blue and indexed by a smooth single-action mechanism. The case-hardened hammer and loading lever add visual contrast while maintaining durability under repeated use.
Italian CIP proofs (PN and Gardone shield) are present for black-powder compliance, and the revolver carries Pietta’s serial number on the brass grip frame. With an MSRP of $319, it delivers an accessible route to historic percussion shooting or display.
