The Altamont Exhibition series is limited to approximately 100 guns, making this shotgun notably scarce and inherently collectible. Each receiver is hand-engraved by Merlin Enright, showcasing deep-relief scrollwork accented by gold-inlaid pheasant and ruffed grouse vignettes and a gold “725” cartouche on the belly.
The 28-inch vent-rib barrels are topped with a brass front bead and small mid-bead, and are chambered for 2¾- and 3-inch 12-gauge loads. A factory Mod and Full choke set is installed, with additional Invector-DS tubes included.
Browning’s lower-profile 725 receiver design positions the barrels lower in the hands for faster target acquisition, while the single mechanical Fire-Lite trigger delivers a crisp break on every shot. A tang-mounted safety doubles as a barrel selector for intuitive operation.
The exhibition-grade walnut stock displays a rich gloss oil finish, right-hand palm swell, 20 LPI checkering, and a Schnabel forend. Browning’s Inflex 2 recoil pad helps manage felt recoil without altering length of pull, measured at 14 inches.
