Originally developed for the SOCOM Joint Combat Pistol program, the HK45 Compact carries a claimed 20,000-round service life, thanks in part to its flat recoil spring and polymer sleeve recoil-reduction system.
The fiber-reinforced polyamide frame houses a modular grip that accepts interchangeable backstraps, allowing shooters to tailor the grip to their hand size. Stippled grip panels provide a secure, non-slip purchase even in wet conditions.
Slide serrations front and rear, along with an anti-glare top rib, promote confident manipulation. The tritium 3-dot sight set offers a clear sight picture in bright light or low-light environments, and the rear sight is drift-adjustable for windage.
Paddle-style magazine releases on both sides, combined with ambidextrous safety/decocker levers, let right- and left-handed shooters operate the pistol efficiently. The integral accessory rail accommodates lights or lasers for enhanced capability.
