The heart of this LE-prefix carbine is a Colt C MP-marked 16-inch barrel featuring a step-cut government profile, full chrome lining, and magnetic-particle testing. The 1:7 twist stabilizes a wide range of bullet weights, and the threaded muzzle allows standard 1/2-28 attachments.
Colt pairs the barrel with a carbine-length gas system and direct-impingement action for smooth cycling. The forged 7075-T6 upper includes a flat-top Picatinny rail, forward assist, case deflector, and dust cover, while the lower receiver carries the correct semi-automatic SAFE/FIRE selector and “M4 CARBINE” roll mark.
A factory-installed Knight’s Armament M4 RAS quad-rail handguard provides four full-length rails for lights, lasers, and grips. Matching KAC rail covers protect unused sections and improve grip. The fixed A2 front sight base retains the bayonet lug for traditional accessories.
