SIG Sauer P220 Classic Line Pre-Rail German Stamped-Slide .45 ACP Semi-Automatic Pistol (2003)
Made in Germany in 2003, this SIG Sauer P220 represents the last pre-rail production year before the P220R redesign. It features the desirable German-made stamped slide with pinned breech block, a lightweight aluminum alloy frame, and the proven DA/SA trigger system. Chambered in .45 ACP with a single-stack 7-round magazine, it offers the classic handling and reliability that have made the P220 a benchmark service pistol.

The German-stamped slide is finished in a matte Nitron-type coating and carries the original internal extractor and pinned breech block—hallmarks of early P220 construction. These features contribute to a lighter slide profile that many shooters find balances well with the alloy frame.
The full-size aluminum alloy frame is anodized matte black and retains the classic, smooth dust-cover lines of the pre-rail P220. Its push-button magazine release, exposed spurred hammer, and textured rear cocking serrations provide familiar, user-friendly controls.
Fixed 3-dot contrast sights give a clear, uncomplicated sight picture. Together with the 4.4-inch barrel and single-stack grip, the pistol offers manageable recoil and a slim profile for a .45 ACP service gun.
A DA/SA trigger system allows a long, deliberate first pull followed by light, crisp single-action follow-up shots. This combination, along with a proven locked-breech short-recoil mechanism, has established the P220’s reputation for dependable performance.
