What’s Included
- One 10-round .40 S&W magazine
The Model 96 was one of the earliest .40 S&W service pistols, offering .40-caliber performance with parts commonality to the U.S. military’s M9. Its short-recoil, locked-breech action uses a falling locking block to reduce muzzle flip and speed follow-up shots.
Beretta’s open-top slide enhances reliability by minimizing ejection failures and keeping the bore axis low. Rear serrations provide positive grip during slide manipulations, and the fixed 3-dot sights offer a clear, fast sight picture.
Controls cater to both right- and left-handed shooters. The ambidextrous safety/decocker allows safe carry in double-action mode, while the reversible magazine release can be swapped without tools. An external spur hammer and smooth DA/SA trigger give shooters flexible firing options.
The hard-coat anodized aluminum frame keeps weight manageable without sacrificing strength. Black checkered polymer grips supply a secure hold and quick replacement if desired.
