Made in Italy, this full-size .22 LR uses the same controls, grip angle, and open-top slide profile as the 9 mm original, letting shooters practice with less recoil and lower cost. A steel fixed barrel, ambidextrous safety, and reversible magazine release round out a feature set geared for realistic handling and dependable plinking.

The M9-22 is built around a straight blowback action that locks the fixed 5.25-inch steel barrel directly to the frame for solid accuracy. Standard double-action/single-action trigger operation mirrors the centerfire M9, making it a natural understudy for duty or competition guns.
An ambidextrous slide-mounted manual safety and reversible magazine release support both right- and left-handed shooters. The open-top slide keeps ejection reliable, while Chiappa’s unique magazine-based ejector simplifies the internal design.
The matte black Chiappalloy frame keeps weight manageable without sacrificing durability. Black checkered synthetic grip panels provide confident purchase, and the external ring hammer offers traditional thumb-cocking control.
