Product Description

    Astra Model 300 .380 ACP WWII-Era Compact Semi-Auto Pistol — Late-War Spanish Production

This Astra Model 300 is a compact, wartime-produced Spanish semi-automatic chambered in .380 ACP. Serial range 586xxx places it in the late-war 1944–1945 run that was exported in quantity to Third Reich Germany, making it notable for collectors of WWII sidearms. Its all-steel construction, uncommon longitudinal slide serrations, and knurled muzzle bushing reflect Astra’s distinctive engineering during the 1923-1946 production span.

    WHAT’S INCLUDED

    • Astra Model 300 .380 ACP pistol
    • 1 factory 6-round steel magazine

Approximately 153,000 Astra 300 pistols were produced between 1923 and 1946. This example’s late-war serial range aligns with deliveries made to German forces, adding clear historical context to the firearm.

Engineered as a scaled-down derivative of the Astra 400, the Model 300 retains the same manual of arms while offering a more compact 3.9 inch barrel and 6+1 capacity. Its single-action blowback action, heel-type magazine release, and external spur hammer are hallmarks of the design.

The pistol’s knurled removable muzzle bushing doubles as the recoil-spring plug, a signature Astra feature that simplifies field stripping. Longitudinal serrations along the top rib aid in slide manipulation and set the Model 300 apart from most contemporaries.

Constructed from carbon steel and finished in wartime bluing, this example still shows deep, even color on the slide and frame. Checkered hardwood grips remain intact and provide a secure hold, while fixed blade/notch sights offer a straightforward sight picture. Spanish bomb-and-crown proof marks are clearly stamped, underscoring its country of origin and military inspection.
