Built as a true Government-model 1911, this SR1911 Standard pairs a 5-inch barrel with a stainless steel slide and frame in a low-glare bead-blast finish. It is MFG. in 2013 and marked by Ruger as Model 6700, with U.S. manufacture and Novak 3-dot sighting system.
The pistol uses a Series 70-style fire control system without a firing-pin block, employing a titanium firing pin and heavier spring. It retains the traditional GI short guide rod and barrel bushing setup, and the barrel features a 1:16 right-hand twist for .45 ACP.
Controls and ergonomics include a single-sided thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with memory pad. It is equipped with an extended slide stop, flat checkered mainspring housing, and a smooth front strap. The slide has rear cocking serrations only and a lowered, flared ejection port.
