The 4.5" XD-M Elite configuration centers on a match-grade, hammer-forged steel barrel with a Melonite treatment and a 1:10 twist for 9mm Luger. The barrel is non-threaded, and the slide wears a matching Melonite finish with front and rear grasping grooves.
Springfield's META trigger system delivers a flat-faced profile with an integral overtravel stop and a trigger safety tab. The striker-fired, semi-automatic action includes a grip safety, a trigger safety, a loaded-chamber indicator, and a striker status indicator.
The full-size polymer frame is finished in black and uses a captive recoil system. Elite-series controls include an ambidextrous slide stop. A three-slot accessory rail on the dust cover supports common weaponlight attachments.
The sighting setup combines a red fiber-optic front with a Tactical Rack U-Dot rear featuring a white U-notch for fast alignment. This is the non-OSP configuration. Capacity is 19+1, and this pistol ships with two factory 19-round magazines.
