The LDR features a monolithic receiver machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with an integrated full-length Picatinny rail and a visible top tension set-screw. The receiver and matching components wear a clear/gray anodized finish with blue highlight fasteners and caps. The Fusion receiver/barrel assembly is factory-fitted to maintain proper headspace.
Its 16 inch carbon-fiber wrapped 416 stainless barrel uses a Bentz chamber and a 1:16 twist. This setup is designed for .22 LR performance while keeping the barrel free-floated inside the aluminum M-LOK handguard.
The folding, skeletonized aluminum stock includes an adjustable cheek piece and adjustable length of pull via twin guide rods. Length of pull is listed at 14.0. The rifle uses an AR-pattern grip interface and comes with a textured polymer pistol grip marked "DF CO."
Controls are familiar to 10/22-pattern users, including a paddle-style magazine release and a cross-bolt safety.
