The installed VP9L-T threaded barrel measures 5.5 inches and uses an O-ring bushing to tighten lock-up for improved accuracy. Its 13.5 × 1 LH threads accept common European-pattern suppressors and compensators.
Six oval lightening cuts reduce reciprocating mass, while the factory-milled optics interface accepts several popular micro-red-dot footprints without the need for slide milling. A luminous front dot and serrated rear sight provide a clear back-up sight picture.
The polymer frame hosts HK’s 27-position grip system, letting the shooter fine-tune backstrap and side-panel fit. Ambidextrous slide catches and paddle-style magazine releases support either-hand operation.
The VP9L’s striker-fired trigger features a skeletonized safety blade and breaks cleanly for consistent shot placement. Cold-hammer-forged steel, polygonal rifling, and HK’s Hostile Environment nitrocarburized finish combine for long service life under hard use.
