This Mk2 variant features a polymer outer shell over a forged steel slide, reducing weight while adding front cocking serrations for easier manipulation. At just 21 oz unloaded, the pistol remains nimble without sacrificing durability.
The 4.8-inch cold hammer-forged stainless barrel is chrome-lined in both bore and chamber to maximize corrosion resistance and service life. A 1:9 RH twist stabilizes the lightweight, high-velocity 5.7 mm projectiles.
Controls are fully ambidextrous. The manual safety sits forward of the trigger guard for intuitive use with either hand, and the reversible magazine release suits right- or left-handed shooters.
FN equips the Five-seveN with drift-adjustable 3-dot sights; the rear sight is elevation and windage adjustable, allowing precise zeroing for varying loads or suppressed use.
With a 20+1 capacity, low recoil impulse, and a proven track record among military and law enforcement users worldwide, this Five-seveN Mk2 offers a balance of firepower, ergonomics, and longevity in a modern service pistol.
