This discontinued Custom Shop Ultra RCP II blends Kimber’s precision machining with a purpose-built concealed-carry profile. A lightweight alloy frame, factory Carry Melt de-horning, and integral trench sight eliminate sharp edges, while the match-grade bull barrel and tuned skeletonized trigger keep accuracy at the forefront. Factory-installed Crimson Trace rosewood grips project a green laser for fast, instinctive aiming, and five Officer-length magazines back up the 7+1 capacity. Developed by Kimber’s Custom Shop, the Ultra RCP II (Refined Carry Pistol) was built in limited numbers for shooters who demanded the smallest practical 1911 without sacrificing shootability. The integral U-shaped trench sight is milled into the slide, providing a snag-free top profile that rides smoothly in holsters and under clothing.
The 3-inch, match-grade stainless bull barrel is ramped, bushing-less, and crowned for reliable lock-up and consistent accuracy in a compact footprint. Combined with the tuned, skeletonized trigger and Series II firing-pin block, the pistol maintains crisp single-action operation while meeting modern safety standards.
Kimber’s aluminum alloy frame keeps weight to just 25 ounces unloaded, and the Carry Melt treatment rounds every edge for comfortable all-day carry. Bobbed controls and rear cocking serrations further support an effortless draw and easy slide manipulation.
Factory Crimson Trace rosewood grips add a green laser sighting system that activates instinctively with a normal firing grip, offering a clear aiming reference in low-light or high-stress situations. Should you prefer a different texture, the included micarta grip set installs quickly.
