Chambered in .40 S&W and tuned with Ed Brown internals, it offers a competition-oriented package that stands out for accuracy, shootability, and hard-to-find craftsmanship.

Behind the serial prefix “NG” lies a non-catalog, custom build completed in Georgetown, Texas before STI rebranded to Staccato. The pistol combines an STI carbon-steel frame and slide with Briley’s spherical-bushing accuracy system, delivering tight lock-up and consistent shot-to-shot precision.
A 5-inch stainless match barrel, flat-top slide with longitudinal anti-glare rib, and sharp rear cocking serrations add practical competition features. The matte dark-grey finish on both frame and slide pairs cleanly with the warm cocobolo of Wilson Combat’s Starburst pattern grips, giving secure purchase and classic 1911 styling.
Trijicon adjustable tritium night sights allow dial-in elevation and windage while providing a clear low-light sight picture. Extended thumb safety and beavertail grip safety promote confident control, and the skeletonized three-hole trigger breaks crisp under single-action operation.
An oversize magazine-well funnel speeds reloads, and the .40 S&W chambering is tuned for USPSA/IDPA Major power-factor single-stack divisions.
