This STX variant is built by the SIG Sauer Custom Shop, ensuring a tight, hand-fit slide-to-frame fit that enhances consistency and accuracy. The squared SIG slide profile and flat-top rib set it apart visually from traditional rounded 1911 slides while retaining the familiar single-action operation.
The pistol wears a black Nitron-finished slide over a natural brushed-stainless frame, producing the signature reverse two-tone look. Polished cocking serrations at the front and rear provide positive purchase, and the integral funnel magwell speeds reloads.
A 5-inch match-grade stainless barrel, skeletonized trigger, and commander-style hammer contribute to crisp trigger breaks and repeatable shot placement. Checkering at 25 LPI on the front strap and 20 LPI on the mainspring housing improves grip stability without being overly aggressive.
Night-ready SIGLITE sights—an adjustable rear and a tritium front—offer fast sight acquisition in varied lighting. Ambidextrous thumb safeties, a grip safety, and a firing-pin block round out the pistol’s layered safety system.
