Built in Smyrna, Georgia, this G29 Gen4 features Glock's short-recoil, locked-breech, striker-fired system with the Safe Action system of three passive safeties. The 3.78 in steel barrel uses Glock's polygonal rifling, and the pistol is finished in black over a durable polymer frame.
Gen4 enhancements include the dual recoil spring assembly, Rough Textured Frame for secure purchase, modular backstrap compatibility, and an enlarged, reversible magazine catch. The frame integrates an accessory rail, and the slide has rear cocking serrations. The slide is non-MOS and does not have an optic cut.
Factory polymer sights are installed: a white-dot front and white U-outline rear, with a 5.91 in sight radius. Capacity is 12+1 with the included 12-round magazine. This model also accepts magazines from larger 10mm Glock models such as the G20 and G40.
Markings include Pentagon "P" proofs on the slide and barrel, a "US" mark on the barrel, a "USA" slide mark, and "MADE IN USA – GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA." on the frame. The slide, barrel, and frame carry matching serial numbers.
This is the discontinued Gen4 variant, later superseded by the G29 Gen5 announced on January 22, 2024. The grip is molded with U.S. Patent 8,156,677.
