The 3-inch stainless bull barrel is shrouded in lightweight 7075-T6 aluminum. A thread protector is installed over the 1/2x28 threads, and a Volquartsen muzzle brake upgrade is included for shooters who prefer even flatter recoil impulses.
Volquartsen’s Accurizing Kit supplies a crisp, flat-faced single-stage trigger breaking at approximately 2.25 pounds, along with an extended magazine release for faster reloads and an oversized charging knob that offers positive purchase when cycling the action.
The polymer 22/45 grip frame keeps the familiar 1911-style angle while delivering modern ergonomics through textured finger-groove panels bearing the Ruger medallion. An ambidextrous manual safety accommodates both right- and left-handed shooters.
Target acquisition is fast thanks to a green fiber-optic front sight paired with a fully adjustable rear. For optics, the upper sports an 11-slot Picatinny rail machined directly into the receiver, giving you a solid mounting surface without additional hardware.
