The heart of this rifle is a 26-inch 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel with a heavy contour, 5R rifling, 1:9.4–1:10 RH twist, and a factory 3/4"-24 thread capped by Ruger’s proprietary three-port Magnum muzzle brake. The user-replaceable barrel system lets experienced owners swap tubes without a gunsmith.
A three-lug bolt with a 70° throw cycles smoothly and ends in an oversize bolt knob for positive control. The bolt shroud doubles as a tool for field disassembly, keeping maintenance fast and self-contained.
The one-piece upper receiver is 4140 alloy steel, while the lower chassis is 7075-T6 aluminum—both finished in matte black. A 30 MOA top rail comes installed for immediate optic mounting, and the free-float 6061-T6 aluminum M-LOK handguard provides ample real estate for bipods or other accessories.
The folding stock swings to the bolt side for transport and adjusts for length of pull and comb height. Ruger’s Marksman Adjustable trigger lets the shooter fine-tune pull weight, and an ambidextrous 45° safety selector adds familiar AR-style ergonomics.
