The 22-inch sporter barrel is Winchester Proof Steel with a blued finish. Sighting equipment includes a hoodless ramped front sight with a dovetailed blade and a barrel-mounted open rear sight with a step elevator for precise elevation adjustment.
The stock is walnut with a Monte Carlo profile and a right-hand cheekpiece. It features pressed checkering, a front sling swivel stud and side-mounted rear sling loop, a black buttplate, and an inlaid buttstock medallion. Length of pull is 13.5 inches.
Chambered in .222 Remington, this example represents a less-common configuration within the Model 70 lineup. The steel receiver carries a blued finish, is drilled and tapped for scope bases, and currently has a front receiver ring scope base installed.
