What’s Included
- Remington Model 870 Wingmaster 16 Gauge shotgun
The 16-gauge Wingmaster configuration is less common than 12- or 20-gauge examples, and this one uses the full-size receiver with a "W" suffix serial designation for 16 gauge. It is chambered for 2 3/4-inch shells and uses a tubular magazine with a 2+1 capacity.
The 28-inch barrel is set up with a fixed Modified choke, a plain profile, and a matted anti-glare top. A single bead provides a clean sight picture. The barrel is correctly stamped "MOD." and "16 GA. FOR 2 3/4 OR SHORTER SHELLS."
Metal surfaces wear a gloss blued finish over a steel receiver. Furniture is classic Wingmaster: a checkered walnut pistol-grip stock with an inlaid grip medallion, Remington-marked hard buttplate, and a matching walnut forend. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
Markings include the barrel date code "DA" and the Ilion, New York barrel address: "REMINGTON ARMS CO., INC., ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A." A knurled steel magazine cap and cross-bolt safety complete the controls and hardware set.
