The M&P FPC’s side-folding stock reduces overall length to approximately 16.375 inches while maintaining a full-length top Picatinny rail for mounting equipment. Overall length is 30.375 inches when deployed, and length of pull measures 14.5 inches. The stock incorporates dual magazine carriers with quick-release latches for rapid access.
The 16.25-inch barrel is made from 4140 steel, finished in black oxide, and threaded 1/2x28 with a 1:10 twist. The aluminum M-LOK handguard provides attachment points, and a polymer vertical foregrip plus a short M-LOK Picatinny rail section are installed.
A simple blowback action works with an integrated recoil buffer system housed in the stock tube. The receiver is polymer with a black finish and is marked "M&P FPC" and "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MA USA"; the barrel is marked "9MM LUGER." Country of origin is the United States.
This example accepts M&P full-size and compact 9mm double-stack magazines and ships with one 23-round and two 17-round factory mags for a 23+1 capacity when using the extended magazine. The M&P-pattern grip includes interchangeable backstrap inserts for fit adjustment. The model was announced in 2023.
