What's Included
- Colt Government Model MK IV/Series 70 .45 ACP pistol

Manufactured in 1979 during the original MK IV/Series 70 production era, this Government Model presents the traditional full-size 1911 format with a 5-inch barrel and 7+1 capacity. It is marked with commercial Government Model rollmarks and was made in the USA.
The pistol uses a single-action, short-recoil tilting-barrel system. Controls are GI-style, complemented by a manual thumb safety and grip safety. It retains an inertial firing pin and no firing-pin block, a hallmark of the Series 70 configuration. The trigger is the short, solid GI-style type, paired with a spur hammer and an arched mainspring housing with vertical serrations.
The slide features rear-only vertical cocking serrations and a standard-height ejection port. Sights are fixed, consisting of a staked, ramped front blade with a serrated face and a small square-notch rear.
Construction is all carbon steel with a blued finish on both frame and slide. Non-factory smooth, uncheckered wood grips are installed, adding a clean, classic look while maintaining the pistol’s period-correct character.
