The Model 84 is a compact member of Beretta’s Cheetah series, chambered in .380 ACP with a double-stack 13+1 capacity. It uses a DA/SA blowback action paired with a steel 3.82 in barrel and an aluminum alloy frame, balancing shootability with a lighter carry weight. The open-top slide is a signature Beretta design element.
This example is a pre-F configuration with a frame-mounted manual safety and a rounded trigger guard. It also includes a spurred hammer and horizontal serrations on the front strap for added purchase. The black checkered polymer grips wear PB medallions.
Sight arrangement is straightforward and easy to reference: a fixed notch rear and an integral ramp front sight with a white dot. The pistol has a black finish and a right-side slide marking with the PB oval logo and the word PATENTED.
It bears Italian CIP proofs, including the Gardone V.T. crest, CIP N marking, and a rectangular IT24 stamp, along with inspector initials "G.F." An import mark from PW Arms, Redmond WA, is present, confirming its importation to the U.S. The pistol was manufactured in Italy.
