The LWRC IC-A5 pairs a short-stroke gas piston system with a 2-position adjustable gas regulator, a 16-inch spiral-fluted cold hammer forged barrel, and ambidextrous lower controls. This U.S.-made rifle features a slim free-float alloy handguard with a continuous numbered top Picatinny rail, installed folding iron sights, and a SureFire SFCT closed-tine flash hider that is pinned and welded. It is marked LWRC INTERNATIONAL M6IC and IC-A5 5.56mm and was built in Cambridge, Maryland.

This IC-A5 uses LWRC's short-stroke gas piston system with a 2-position adjustable gas regulator. The lower is fully ambidextrous, including the magazine release, providing mirrored controls for both left- and right-handed shooters. It accepts STANAG magazines.
The 16-inch barrel is steel, cold hammer forged, spiral-fluted, and nitride-treated. It is threaded 1/2x28 with a 1:7 RH twist. A SureFire SFCT-556-1/2-28 closed-tine flash hider is installed and permanently attached; the muzzle device is pinned and welded.
The rifle features a free-float, vented alloy handguard with a continuous, numbered top Picatinny rail. Folding front and rear iron sights are installed. Additional bolt-on rail sections are included, with one section already installed at the 6 o'clock position.
Ergonomics include a collapsible stock with a QD sling socket and a textured polymer grip with a beavertail. The hard-coat finish is applied to alloy receivers. Length of pull is 13.5 inches, overall length is approximately 35.25 inches, and weight is about 7.3 lb.
