The Kestrel IOS pairs a Commander-length 4.25 in barrel with a compact 1911 profile and single-action-only operation. It retains classic 1911 controls, including a thumb safety and grip safety, and uses a lightweight three-hole trigger for a crisp break.
The slide is finished in a tri-top profile with a serrated flat-top rib to reduce glare. It has rear cocking serrations only, a lowered and flared ejection port, and a forward lightening cut. Sight radius measures 5.76 in, with a dovetailed front blade and a Heinie-marked rear sight mounted on the IOS plate.
Nighthawk’s Interchangeable Optic System integrates an optic-cut and plate interface and is designed for plate swaps that return to zero. This pistol includes the IOS plate for the Trijicon RMR footprint, with the rear sight carried on the plate.
