The slide is optics-ready from the factory and arrives with the cover plate installed and retained by two screws. Suppressor-height iron sights are fitted, with a tall front blade featuring a dot and a square-notch rear. These sights are intended to provide a lower 1/3 co-witness with many mounted optics.
Ergonomics are a core VP9 strength: the polymer frame features molded texturing and interchangeable backstrap and side panels to tune grip size. Ambidextrous slide release levers are present on both sides. A three-slot accessory rail on the dust cover supports common weapon-mounted lights or accessories.
The striker-fired action includes a loaded chamber indicator at the extractor for quick status checks.
