The Combat Elite trim is configured around a 3-inch stainless steel barrel with a vent rib, full underlug, and a target-style recessed crown. Colt specifies 1:14" left-hand, 6-groove rifling for this model, giving the short barrel a well-defined interior finish suited to .357 Magnum.
This Python uses the current 2020–present design with a strengthened top strap area and revised lockwork while retaining traditional double-action/single-action operation. The smooth-faced trigger and exposed, checkered-spur hammer support controlled DA work and crisp SA shooting.
Sight regulation comes from an adjustable black rear sight paired to a tritium front blade with a white dot. The front is part of Colt's interchangeable system used on the Combat Elite, allowing the factory night sight configuration supplied on this trim.
The revolver is built on a stainless steel frame with matching stainless cylinder and receiver surfaces, all in a semi-bright stainless finish. Gray/black layered G10 grips with silver Colt medallions provide a secure, durable interface without adding bulk.
