    What's Included

    • Savage Model 99H Carbine rifle chambered in .30-30
    • Tang-mounted folding aperture sight (installed)

Manufactured in 1926, this Model 99H Carbine represents the 1920s-era configuration with a 20 in round carbine barrel and the hammerless Model 99 action. It retains the early 99H pattern with no barrel band observed. Feeding is via the internal rotary magazine with a 5-round capacity, and the receiver uses a top loading/ejection port.

The receiver ring is marked "SAVAGE MODEL 99." Barrel rollmarks include "SAVAGE HI-PRESSURE STEEL — .30-30" along with maker/patent dates (1893, 1899, 1907, 1909) and "Utica, N.Y., U.S.A." The serial number is stamped on the lever boss, consistent with Model 99 production practices of the period.

Furniture consists of a straight-grip, uncheckered wood stock matched to a straight, round-tip forearm retained by a screw. A steel carbine buttplate is fitted, and the length of pull measures 13.25 in. Barrel and receiver are steel.

Sighting equipment includes a tang-mounted folding aperture sight. The rear barrel sight dovetail is present, though the leaf is absent, and there is no front sight installed.
