The Modelo XI-B follows the 1911 pattern in a compact, Commander-length format with a 4.25 in barrel, barrel bushing, and recoil spring plug. It operates in single-action with a smooth trigger, a push-button magazine release, a thumb safety, and a spur hammer for familiar manual controls.
Its carbon steel frame and slide wear a blued finish. The slide incorporates a serrated top rib and an internal extractor, along with an un-lowered ejection port. Sights are fixed, with a blade front and a square-notch rear secured by a set screw for a clean, practical sight picture.
Markings include 'LLAMA CAL. 9mm. PARABELLUM' on the left side of the slide and 'GABILONDO Y CIA VITORIA (ESPAÑA)' on the right. The pistol also bears import and origin stamps: 'STOEGER INDUSTRIES S. HACKENSACK N.J.' and 'Made in Spain.' Magazine baseplates are marked 'Made in Spain.'
Grips are black checkered synthetic with the Llama logo, complementing the pistol's straightforward steel construction. Capacity is 9+1 with the included single-stack 9-round magazines, providing a slim profile in a 9mm 1911-style platform.
This example aligns with the late 1970s to mid-1990s production era for the Modelo XI-B, showcasing the Spanish-made take on a compact 9mm 1911-pattern pistol with period-correct features and markings.
