The FNX-45 Tactical is FN’s flagship .45 ACP duty pistol, combining a suppressor-ready, cold-hammer-forged threaded barrel with a factory optics-ready slide and fully ambidextrous controls. This full-size model ships in flat dark earth (FDE) and maintains a 15-round magazine capacity—one of the highest in its caliber.
Building on FN’s Joint Combat Pistol development, this example adds an FDE PVD-finished slide with front and rear cocking serrations, suppressor-height tritium night sights, and the FN Low-Profile Optics Mounting System for direct red-dot installation. Stainless steel magazines and a reinforced polymer frame keep weight manageable while delivering duty-grade durability.

The 5.3-inch cold-hammer-forged stainless barrel is threaded .578×28 TPI, ready for popular .45 suppressors or compensators. Factory suppressor-height tritium sights allow immediate co-witness with a mounted red dot and clear sight picture over a suppressor.
FN’s Low-Profile Optics Mounting System ships with multiple plates to accept widely used miniature red-dot footprints. No additional slide milling is required, streamlining setup for duty, competition, or home-defense roles.
Fully ambidextrous slide stop, safety/decocker, and magazine release controls make the FNX-45 Tactical adaptable for left- or right-handed shooters without modification. The external ring hammer supports both double-action and single-action operation.
The glass-fiber-reinforced polymer frame features molded grip panels and interchangeable backstraps to tailor circumference and texture. A full 1913 rail supports lights or accessories; an Olight BALDR RL is already fitted, giving instant white-light and visible laser capability.
