Built on Colt’s full-size Government Model platform, this Competition Series pistol uses the Series 80 firing pin safety system and single-action-only operation. The slide and frame wear a classic blued finish, with factory rollmarks including “GOVERNMENT MODEL,” “COLT,” and “COMPETITION SERIES,” and a frame rollmark “COLT’S MFG HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A.”
The 5-inch stainless National Match barrel is bushing-fitted, with the hood marked ‘COLT .45 AUTO NM’ for clear identification. A dual recoil spring system is installed to manage cycling, and the magazine well is internally beveled to aid reloads.
Sighting equipment includes a red fiber-optic front and a fully adjustable black Novak-style rear, offering a high-visibility front with precise rear adjustment. The slide features rear serrations only for a clean profile.
