What’s Included
- Ithaca Flues Model Field Grade 20 gauge side-by-side shotgun
Built in 1919, this Flues Model Field Grade is a classic hammerless boxlock side-by-side with double triggers, a tang safety, and extractor (non-ejector) operation. It is chambered in 20 gauge with a 2-round capacity, combining a trim configuration with traditional controls and mechanism.
The 28 in smokeless powder steel barrels have a matted flat rib and a single brass front bead. The fixed chokes are reported as Full in the left barrel and Modified in the right. Barrel roll marks include "SMOKELESS POWDER STEEL" and "MADE IN U.S.A."
In 1982, the shotgun was returned to Ithaca Gun in Ithaca, NY, for a complete overhaul. Ithaca replaced the stock and the wooden portion of the forend and refinished the metal. The shotgun has been fired once since this factory work.
Furniture includes a walnut pistol-grip stock and splinter forend with hand checkering, plus a steel buttplate marked "ithacagun." The receiver is color case-hardened and engraved on both sides with the image of a pointing bird dog, complementing the blued barrel finish.
Additional details include a 14.0 in length of pull, Full-Size designation, steel receiver construction, and proof/marking details consistent with production in the USA.
