This Zastava Arms ZPAP85 stands out as a Serbian-made AK-pattern pistol chambered in 5.56mm NATO. It features a short Krinkov-style gas system with a combined front sight/gas block, a cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined 10.5 inch barrel threaded M26x1.5 LH with a conical booster installed, and a 1.5 mm stamped steel receiver with bulged front trunnion. Wood Yugo-pattern handguards and integrated Picatinny rail sections round out a compact, well-executed configuration.

The ZPAP85 uses a long-stroke gas piston with a rotating bolt and a short Krinkov-style gas system. It is chambered in 5.56x45mm with a 30+1 capacity and includes a manual safety and a black polymer AK pistol grip.
The factory barrel is cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined, and threaded M26x1.5 left-hand. A conical booster is installed. Barrel length is 10.5 inches.
Construction features include a 1.5 mm stamped steel receiver with a bulged front trunnion. The handguards are Yugo-pattern wood with three elongated cooling slots, paired with a black polymer AK pistol grip.
Sighting is via open sights: a front post on the gas block and a rear sight on the top cover. The hinged top cover incorporates a short Picatinny rail, and the rear endcap has a 1913 Picatinny rail section.
This pistol is made in Serbia by Zastava Arms and imported by Zastava Arms USA in Des Plaines, Illinois. Markings include "ZASTAVA ARMS MADE IN SERBIA" and "ZASTAVA ARMS USA DES PLAINES, IL" along with caliber and model designations on the receiver.
