The Government Model Competition Series is a full-size 1911 built on a stainless steel frame and slide, paired with a 5-inch stainless National Match barrel and bushing. It uses the Series 70 firing system with no firing-pin block, and employs Colt’s dual recoil-spring system.
Sight regulation and visibility come from a Novak-pattern, fully adjustable black rear sight and a dovetailed red fiber-optic front. The slide features rear-only cocking serrations and a lowered, flared ejection port.
Ergonomics and control are addressed with an undercut trigger guard, a flat checkered mainspring housing, and a smooth front strap. Controls include an extended left-side thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with a memory bump. The fire-control setup uses a skeletonized long trigger and a Commander-style rowel hammer.
The pistol wears blue/black textured G10 grips with a molded Colt logo and carries a 9+1 capacity in .38 Super. Stainless finish is consistent across the slide, frame, and receiver. This model is manufactured in the USA and identified as factory model O1073CCS.
