This Model 336CS combines classic Marlin lever-action design with practical 1980s features. The action uses side ejection with a loading gate and a cross-bolt safety, and the rifle retains the period-correct bright in-the-white bolt and blued steel receiver. Two barrel bands secure the 20 in carbine-length barrel and fore-end.
The barrel uses Marlin Micro-Groove rifling and is paired with iron sights: a hooded ramp front sight and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight. The receiver top and left wall are factory drilled and tapped and fitted with filler screws.
The gloss-finished wood furniture includes a pistol-grip stock with a fluted comb and an uncheckered finish. Details include sling swivel studs, a Marlin-logo hard buttplate with a white-line spacer, and a carbine-style wood fore-end. Length of pull is 13.5 in.
Made in the United States at Marlin’s North Haven facility, this 336CS offers a 6+1 capacity in a tubular magazine and the familiar handling that has made the .30-30 lever gun a mainstay for generations.
