This West German-manufactured P226 reflects the classic early configuration: a stamped carbon-steel slide paired with a pinned breech block secured by dual roll pins and an internal extractor. The frame is the non-railed aluminum-alloy type with a hard-anodized finish and vertical serrations on the front strap. The barrel hood is marked "9 mm Para," and the standard 4.4 in barrel complements the full-size format.
Proofed in Germany and imported by SIGARMS INC., EXETER-NH, it bears correct German proof marks on both frame and slide. The manufacture/import window is approximately 1990–1991, and the slide and frame exhibit matching serial numbers, consistent with factory assembly from this era.
The pistol is hammer-fired with a DA/SA trigger system, incorporating a decocker and firing pin block. Controls include a left-side magazine release and a spur hammer. With the included magazines, it offers an 18+1 capacity, and also ships with two 15-round magazines for added flexibility.
Sighting is straightforward and familiar: a 3-dot setup with a tritium front sight marked "MH3 AJ" and a square-notch rear with two white dots. The installed replacement grip panels feature a textured surface with a geometric pattern, providing a modernized hold while maintaining the P226’s classic lines.
