This Remington 1911 R1S is a U.S.-made, Government-size .45 ACP with an all-stainless slide and frame and a factory match-grade 5 inch stainless barrel. It carries the correct "1911 R1S" slide marking and Ilion, NY frame rollmark, and comes with fixed, dovetailed 3-dot sights. This example is customized with gray/black textured grip panels installed, with the original double-diamond walnut panels included.

The R1S configuration pairs a stainless slide and frame with a traditional Government-length system built around a 5 inch match-grade stainless barrel and a bushing/plug setup. The barrel uses a 1:16 LH twist, and the ejection port is lowered and flared. Operation is single-action, recoil-operated.
Sighting is straightforward and durable: fixed, dovetailed 3-dot sights with a white-dot front and two-dot rear. The slide has rear serrations only for a clean profile. Control features include a long, solid aluminum trigger and a commander-style skeletonized hammer.
Safety equipment is Series 80 style with a firing pin block, complemented by a left-side thumb safety and grip safety. The magazine release is the standard left-side configuration. The pistol is marked "1911 R1S" on the slide with an Ilion, NY rollmark on the frame, and corresponds to Remington catalog order number 96324.
This example is customized with gray/black textured synthetic grip panels installed for a secure hold. The original double-diamond walnut panels are included, allowing an easy return to a classic look if desired.
