It uses the proven gas-operated, semi-automatic action with a rotating bolt and the standard 8-round internal en bloc clip system. The rifle is chambered in .30-06 and configured with a 24-inch barrel and an approximate 43.5-inch overall length.

    The sighting system includes a wing-protected blade front integral to the gas cylinder and a wing-protected aperture rear sight with micrometer-adjustable elevation and windage knobs in the non-lock-bar pattern. A trigger-guard safety is fitted as standard.
