The 28 inch carbon steel barrel uses a vent rib with rectangular lightening cuts for a balanced swing, paired with a brass front bead that provides a clear sight picture. The barrel has a matte finish and is threaded for Win-Choke pattern tubes; this example includes a MOD choke.
Chambering is 2 3/4 or 3 inch, and the shotgun uses a bottom-load, right-eject tubular magazine with a stated capacity of 2+1. The magazine cap includes an integral front sling-swivel eye.
The action features a four-lug rotating bolt and dual action bars for smooth cycling. A cross-bolt safety is positioned for straightforward operation.
The receiver is aluminum alloy with a matte black finish, matched to a black synthetic stock and ribbed synthetic fore-end. A rubber recoil pad is fitted, and the length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Markings indicate: "MFG. BY SUN CITY MACHINERY CO., LTD. IN P.R.C IMPORTED BY SAVAGE ARMS INC., WESTFIELD, MA, USA." Country of origin is China, and the series is Field Grade.
