The Scout Carbine uses No. 11 percussion caps in an inline, single-shot configuration with a vented breech plug and side gas ports. The barrel is roll-marked with the maker, model, and caliber, and the warning indicates black powder or Pyrodex only.
Its 21 in round blued steel barrel pairs with a walnut straight-grip, uncheckered stock and brass furniture, including the trigger guard/tang, barrel band, forend cap, and a crescent buttplate bearing the TC monogram. The under-barrel steel ramrod rides in thimbles for ready access.
Controls are straightforward with an external spur hammer and an automatic hammer-block safety. The carbine has a capacity of 1 and a 15.0 in length of pull, offering a traditional feel with simple, reliable operation.
Iron sights include a ramped front blade and an adjustable semi-buckhorn/elevator leaf rear, providing a clear, practical sight picture for field use.
