Built around a 1.875-inch stainless-steel barrel and a five-shot stainless cylinder treated with a matte black PVD finish, the Bodyguard 38 is engineered for corrosion resistance while maintaining a discreet profile. The aluminum-alloy receiver is mated to a polymer upper subframe, trimming weight without sacrificing strength.
The revolver’s double-action-only system uses an internal hammer to minimize snag potential when drawn from concealment. A smooth-face trigger aids consistent pulls, and the top-strap mounted cylinder release is fully ambidextrous—an uncommon convenience on a J-frame-sized wheelgun.
