Manufactured by IMI in Israel and imported by Action Arms Ltd., this Model 329 is a documented pre-ban example produced and brought in prior to the 1989 U.S. sporting purposes import ban. The receiver is clearly rollmarked "S.AUTO GALIL CAL. .308 WIN. MODEL 329 IMI–ISRAEL," with the importer stamp "ACTION ARMS LTD.
PHILA. PA." and an AAL-prefix serial observed on the receiver.
The rifle uses a semi-automatic, long-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt and a right-side charging handle. It features an 18 inch barrel fitted with a ported muzzle device. The gas tube has three vent holes near the handguard cap, and there is a clamp-style block beneath the gas block/front sight base. A bayonet lug is not observed.
Controls and furniture are classic Galil AR. It has a right-side lever safety and a left-side thumb safety, a black polymer pistol grip, and a ribbed black polymer handguard. The stock is a right-folding tubular steel design with a hinged butt and a checkered buttplate, providing a solid lock-up when deployed.
Sighting equipment includes a hooded front post and a rear aperture/diopter mounted on the receiver cover. The rear sight base is stamped "3578," aligning with the observed markings theme on this rifle. Finish is black over the milled steel receiver.
