The carbine retains core M44 features in a compact 20.2-inch-barrel configuration with a fixed internal 5-round magazine. It is set up with iron sights consisting of a hooded front post and a tangent rear sight, suited to the platform’s intended use.
Romanian-specific markings include the Romanian People's Republic crest and the Cugir triangle-with-arrow arsenal mark. The Century Arms International "C.A.I. ST. ALB. VT" import stamp is present, documenting its importation history.
The hardwood furniture follows the M44 pattern with a full-length stock, separate wood handguard, sling slots with steel liners, a recoil crossbolt, steel buttplate, and two barrel bands. The metal components show a blued finish over a steel receiver.
This example has non-matching serial numbers on the receiver, bolt, and floorplate. The side-folding spike bayonet base is present, while the bayonet itself is not present. The cleaning rod is not present.
