Produced during the Stevens-marked 1938–1950 era, it features a break-action with a single trigger and exposed hammer, blued steel construction, and wood furniture with a 14.0 inch length of pull. The .410 barrel is a fixed Full choke (Fixed F choke), and the barrel set measures 24 inches. It bears the correct Chicopee Falls barrel marking and represents the direct predecessor to the Savage Model 24, with known WWII U.S. Army Air Corps survival-gun procurement.
