The LAR-8 uses a semi-automatic, direct-impingement system and a 20-inch barrel that is threaded and capped with an A2-style flash suppressor. The receivers are forged 7075-T6 aluminum with a matte black hardcoat anodized finish. The flat-top upper includes T-marked Picatinny rail indexing. It has right-side ejection with a dust cover and case deflector, and it does not include a forward assist.
Controls are user-focused with an ambidextrous magazine release and an ambidextrous bolt release integrated into the LAR-8 lower. The adjustable stock includes QD sockets and a rubber buttpad, and the pistol grip is a rubber overmold, finger-groove style. Length of pull is 11.0 inches.
Made in the United States, this rifle is finished in matte black and set up for straightforward configuration on its flat-top receiver and railed gas block.
