The SPEC15 series combines forged aluminum receivers with a 16 in 4150 chromoly steel barrel and a salt-bath nitride BCG. This example uses a direct impingement, semi-automatic action and includes a threaded muzzle with an A2-style birdcage flash hider.
The rifle is finished in a green distressed/battle-worn scheme across the receivers. Receiver markings include the Black Rain Ordnance logo, CAL: MULTI, MOD: SPEC15, and NEOSHO, MO U.S.A. Selector legends on both sides read SAFE / FIRE / FULL, with the third position being cosmetic.
A free-float BRO-branded aluminum handguard with triangular lightening cuts and a full-length top Picatinny rail pairs with a flat-top upper that includes a forward assist and case deflector. A short bolt-on rail section and a Magpul MOE vertical grip are installed on the handguard.
Furniture includes an MFT collapsible stock and MFT EPG16V2 pistol grip. Length of pull is 10.5 in. Capacity is 30+1, and it comes with a 30-round Black Rain Ordnance polymer magazine.
For low-light use, a Sightmark white light and visible laser module is installed and wired with a remote pressure switch. The rifle does not include sights, and the continuous top rail provides mounting space for the user's choice of aiming solution.
